Abu Sayyaf threatens to kill foreign hostages
It is now feared that Abu Sayyaf might retaliate with the killing of one or more of their recent Kidnapped Captives.
Abu Sayyaf is now holding Richard Rodwell, 53, an Australian who was captured from his home in Ipil, in Mindanao.
In addition, three days ago, Abu Sayyaf kidnapped Elwold Horn, 52, from Holland and Lorenzo Vinciguerra, 47, from Switzerland.
Reports have all of these Hostages now in the “Safe Haven” of Abu Sayyef.
There are apparently less than 500 Members of Abu Sayyaf, but they cast a “Big Black Shadow” over the Mindanao area of The Philippines.
My advice is to “not go to most places in Mindanao” if you are a Westerner, and especially, if you are a high profile Westerner who would represent a great “bargaining tool.” |
